Tailor-made Paper Packaging Solutions for Customers Worldwide Since 1996 - Packshion

What payment terms do you accept?

We offer a range of flexible payment options designed to accommodate different order sizes, client preferences, and levels of trading relationship. For initial orders and standard B2B transactions, we typically recommend Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) — the most widely used and efficient payment method in international trade. Below is a detailed breakdown of each option we support.

Telegraphic Transfer (T/T)

Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) is the most commonly used payment method for packaging industry transactions. It involves a direct bank-to-bank transfer of funds through the SWIFT international banking system, providing a clear, traceable payment path that is globally accepted and suitable for both small and large transaction amounts.

We offer flexible T/T payment structures to balance cash flow and risk for both parties. For first-time orders, we recommend a 30% advance deposit to initiate production, with the remaining 70% balance paid before shipment. This approach gives both parties shared commitment — your deposit secures your production slot, while the pre-shipment balance ensures that goods are fully paid before they leave our factory. For repeat orders with established clients, we are open to adjusting the deposit-to-balance ratio or exploring other mutually agreeable terms based on your company's procurement requirements and our ongoing trading history.

T/T transfers typically clear within 1–3 business days, depending on the intermediary banks involved. We will provide you with our complete banking details — including SWIFT/BIC code, account name, and account number — on your proforma invoice. To ensure security, please always verify banking details through the same communication channel used for your order confirmation, as a precaution against fraudulent payment redirection attempts.

Letter of Credit (L/C)

A Letter of Credit (L/C) is a bank-guaranteed payment instrument where the buyer's bank commits to paying the supplier once all required shipping documents are presented in full compliance with the credit's terms. This method substitutes bank credit for buyer credit, providing a high level of payment security for both parties.

In the packaging industry, L/C is typically used for large, high-value orders or when trading with new partners where a trust relationship has not yet been established. L/C transactions in our sector commonly involve documentation such as the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and any required certificates (e.g., FSC certification, inspection reports).

Key considerations when using L/C include the associated bank charges — opening fees, advising bank fees, and document examination fees — which should be factored into your total procurement cost. Additionally, L/C terms require strict documentary compliance; even minor discrepancies between documents and credit terms can result in payment delays or rejection. We recommend having our team review the draft L/C terms before issuance to ensure all specified documentation aligns with what we can provide, minimizing the risk of discrepancies at the presentation stage.

For clients who prefer L/C, we accept irrevocable Letters of Credit at sight (payment upon document presentation), with terms to be negotiated and confirmed at the order stage.

Western Union

Western Union provides a fast, accessible option for small-value payments, such as sample fees, small deposit amounts, or express shipping charges. This method is particularly convenient for clients who prefer not to process small amounts through formal banking channels. Western Union transfers are typically available within minutes and can be collected at agent locations or deposited directly into designated accounts. For larger production payments, we recommend T/T or L/C as more cost-effective alternatives given Western Union's fee structure, which becomes proportionally higher on larger amounts.

PayPal

We accept PayPal as a convenient payment method, particularly well-suited for sample orders, small-batch trial runs, and initial project deposits. PayPal offers the advantage of instant payment confirmation and buyer protection, providing peace of mind for both new and existing clients. It also supports multiple currencies, making it easier for international customers to pay in their preferred currency without complex bank procedures.

Please note that PayPal transactions incur processing fees, which are factored into our pricing for small-value transactions. For larger production orders, we generally recommend T/T as a more cost-efficient option, since PayPal's percentage-based fee structure increases proportionally with the transaction amount and can significantly impact total costs on high-value invoices.

Credit Card

We accept major international credit cards — including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover — through our secure payment gateway. Credit card payments provide instant authorization and are accepted globally, making them a convenient option for clients who prefer to use corporate or procurement cards for packaging orders. This method is particularly useful for sample orders, small production runs, and clients whose internal procurement policies favor card-based payment over bank transfers. Credit card payments can be processed remotely via a secure payment link, which we will provide upon request. As with PayPal, we generally recommend this option for small to medium-sized transactions, as credit card processing fees on large production invoices can be substantially higher than T/T transfer costs.

Choosing the Right Payment Method

The best payment method depends on your order size, the stage of our relationship, and your company's internal procurement requirements. For standard production orders from both first-time and repeat clients, T/T is typically the most cost-effective choice, clearing within 1–3 business days with low bank wire fees. For large, high-value orders or when establishing a new trading relationship, L/C at sight offers strong bank-guaranteed security, though the associated bank charges are medium to high. For small-value payments — sample fees, courier charges, or minor deposits — Western Union provides fast, accessible transfers within minutes to hours at a fee structure suited to small amounts. For sample orders, small-batch trial runs, and initial project deposits, PayPal offers instant confirmation and buyer protection with medium, percentage-based processing fees. Similarly, credit cards provide instant authorization and are ideal for sample orders, small production runs, and corporate procurement card users, also with medium percentage-based fees.

New clients typically begin with T/T or L/C, and as trust develops over repeat transactions, we are happy to discuss more flexible arrangements tailored to your needs.

Payment Security Advisory

We take payment security seriously. Always verify our banking details through the official communication channel used for your order — our bank account information will not change mid-transaction. If you ever receive an email claiming updated payment instructions, contact your dedicated account manager directly by phone or WhatsApp to confirm before initiating any transfer. This simple precaution protects both parties against payment redirection fraud, a risk that all international trading partners should be aware of.
